Grove School of Engineering

The Grove School of Engineering is home to 2,400 students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees in seven disciplines: Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Thanks to philanthropy, Grove has grown to a powerhouse program with world-class faculty conducting innovative research further strengthening our academic programs and fostering new interdisciplinary collaborations.

Grove graduates are highly sought after in diverse fields, such as aerospace engineering, biotech, and telecommunications. Leading agencies at the federal, state and local level also regularly recruit from the Grove School. When Andrew Grove gave his transformative gift in 2004, then City College President said it would “enable The City College School of Engineering to take its place among the best schools of engineering in the nation.” We are well on our way to fulfill this prophecy. Please join us as we continue this momentum.

Thanks to donor support, we have been able to:

  • Establish the only public undergraduate and graduate school of engineering in New York City.
  • Initiate innovative programs, including the Master in Translational Medicine in 2015, making City College a pioneer in this emerging discipline.
  • Attract talented students to the Grove School of Engineering through the creation of fellowships and scholarships, such as the Lawrence A. and Margaret C. Hauben Graduate Fellowships Fund.
